My Newest Crafting Picks

Daylight has been scarce and ice has been plentiful in Oregon this January. We’re all spending more time staying warm at home with little to do. Recently I’ve been spending my time inside trying out some different hobbies. Keep reading to find out what my newest crafting picks are!

I picked up some crochet and embroidery supplies from the art floor at the Flagship Campus location and it's been a great way to keep my hands busy and focused. There’s a fantastic deal on yarn right now too! You can get 20% off your purchase of six skeins in-store or online.

If you’re interested in working with more guidelines, our embroidery and paint-by-number kits might be the right fit for you. These will give you access to high-quality art supplies in an approachable way. Check out my favorite embroidery kit here. Coloring books are also a fun and simple way to get creative. I love this William Morris-inspired one!

In an attempt to bring back warmer days and fond memories, try out scrapbooking! You can find all of the supplies you need to get started here at The Duck Store. We have sketchbooks, stickers, pens, pressed plants and flowers, and much more!

Another way to add something special to your scrapbook is lino printing. I enjoy lino printing because it's fairly inexpensive and simple to do at home while also producing some great results. You can find the supplies to start a lino printing project at The Duck Store for under $20. Try it out on a tote bag, a t-shirt, a piece of paper, or all of the above! The best part about lino is that you can reuse your block to print again and again.
