The Duck Store has existed to serve the UO community since 1920.
Unlike most college stores operated by for-profit corporations, we’re an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit governed by the students, faculty, and staff we serve.
That means our profits go back to the UO community through lower-cost course materials, student employment, and support for university programs.

Students make up the majority of The Duck Store’s Board of Directors and hold its key leadership positions.
This gives students a meaningful role in how The Duck Store is governed and brings their perspective directly into decisions about how we operate and serve the UO community.
