Testimonials from current Board members:
Yousif Dajani, Sophomore Position, Board Member 2024-2026
What is the most rewarding aspect of serving on the Duck Store board that you think prospective members should know?
The most rewarding aspect of serving on the Duck Store Board is the experience you get listening to seasoned professionals discuss a successful business and the ins and outs of what makes The Duck Store successful. As a student wanting to go into the field of business, seeing first hand the decisions that are made and the processes behind them are incredibly helpful and interesting.
How has your understanding of the relationship between The Duck Store and the University of Oregon community evolved since you joined the board?
My understanding of the relationship between the Duck Store and the University of Oregon community has evolved since I have joined the board because I have seen the unwavering commitment that The Duck Store has to working with the school and its students to provide affordable and current Ducks gear, textbooks, and everything in between.
What unique perspective or skill set do you believe you brought to the board, and how did it contribute to discussions and decisions?
I believe that I bring a unique skill set of understanding the landscape of college athletics and how they affect the university better than an everyday student. With The Duck Store having a major focus on athletics and their successes having a major factor on the success of the store, having an understanding on where you can prosper and take advantage when times are good and where you can cover up and protect yourself when times are bad are very important for running a sustainable business.
