Josten's Student Doctor Keeper Hood

Overview

The academic hood is a visual representation of your level of academic achievement, discipline and field in which the degree is held and the official colors of the University conferring the degree. This hood has been designed within the guidelines established by the Intercollegiate Bureau of Academic Costume.

What color to choose? 

Green - The University of Oregon prefers all Ph. D. students wear a green hood. Unless your degree specifies a different color, choose green!

Light Blue - Doctor in Education (D.Ed. or Ed.D.)

Pink - Doctor of Musical Arts (DMA)

Royal Blue - Traditional Ph. D. color, choose only if requested to do so by your program
