Tools of the Trade Artist Profiles: Jerry Ross

Jerry Ross, a Buffalo native, came to Eugene in 1974. As a child a teacher recognized is ability and recommended him to an art school alongside talented adults. He then studied at the Albright Art School (formally the Buffalo Art Institute).

After moving to Eugene he cofounded Salon des Refuses and began working at Lane Community College as an instructor. He often travels to Italy and is inspired by the Italian Macchiaioli artists of Tuscany.

Jerry enjoys using oil paints, M.Graham watercolors, charcoal and pastels.
